From the West
Follow the A38 to Trerulefoot and then th A374 towards Torpoint and Then Mount Edgcumbe.
From the East
Find the M5 to Exeter and then the A38 to Plymouth. From there follow the previous or next instructions.
From Plymouth
Go to Devonport and find the A374 Torpoint signs, then come over on the Torpoint ferry. There is very little need to linger in Torpoint, but if you follow the signs to HMS Raleigh after 1 mile on the left, and then St John after another mile on the left, you will find one of the hidden Cornish Gems, the St John Inn.
Follow the road to Anthony and then follow the signs for Mount Edgcumbe. At Tregantle Fort you can make the short diversion to the right for Crafthole and its 2 pubs.
Shank's Pony
Total 14 miles.
The suggested route is Cremyll < 2 miles > Millbrook < 1 1/2 miles > St John < 3 miles > Crafthole < 4 1/2 mile > Kingsan < 1/2 mile> Cawsand < 1 mile > Maker < 1 1/2 miles > Cremyll ( or the reverse)
